25. How to make money from your art, stay inspired, and not burn out w/Concert Pianist Emile Pandolfi

In this episode, I speak with concert pianist Emile Pandolfi about how he's built a lucrative lifelong career as a musician.

As a creative, it can be so easy to critique ourselves so much that we end up taking the joy out of what we once loved! We talk about how creative people can find ways to make money from their art without putting so much pressure on it that it becomes uninspiring/un-fun.

Emile has enjoyed a successful career in the area of solo piano "commercial" music for the past 35 years. He has recorded 30 albums which sold 4.5 million units, (before CDs became dinosaurs) and he has surpassed 750 million streams on the various platforms. He continues to do live concerts and records his signature arrangements of well-known pop songs from movies, musicals, and the American Songbook.

This week I want to challenge you to think of all the different ways you consume art, in all its form. If you want to become more artistic, understand what inspires you and what you enjoy.
